Basically, I have been teaching at the college level for 14 years. I primarily teach Math, Statistics, Physics and Science. I have also done some tutoring on the side but it was limited by my work schedule. I love teaching and always look forward to that lightbulb moment when the student all of a sudden gets it. In Math this happens quite often. I am what I call an old school teacher. By that I mean, the learning is in the doing and I believe in practice, practice and more practice. This is especially true in Math and also in science. Therefore in a tutoring setting I believe in the student doing problems with my oversight rather than just me doing problems. In my classes I assign a lot of homework but the students seem not to mind since I have always had full classes with students on wait lists to get into the classes.
